Guests enjoy easy access to hiking, touring, riding, boating and visiting nomadic families.
Besides leisure and activities there are occasional family celebrations for the enjoyment of the local community such as wedding, new ger ceremony, first hair cut ceremony, nature worshiping etc.
Naadam Festival
Naadam Festival “ Three Manly Games” is the biggest community celebration in town. It is held on July 11th and it is celebrated throughout the country.
Guests of Khovsgol Inn have a great advantage of the ideal location of the inn from where they can have an easy walk to the Naadam ground. Guests can also have a short trip to visit nomadic families the night before the Naadam and see how they prepare for the Festival.
These are often the families move from remote areas of Khovsgol to Khatgal with their animals, race horses to participate in the Naadam. This is a great opportunity to experience truly nomadic hospitality and we are sure, the nomads will feel honored to have you their guests.
